Shock travel to Lloydminster April 30, 2016
Battle River travelled to Lloydminster to meet the Red Dogs on their own field. The host team was excited to have us and the community rallied in support of their first true home game since joining the CDMFA. Unfortunately the end of the game resulted in a loss for the Shock’s last regular season game of the year. None the less, we were glad to have been a part of history for their club as this was the first opportunity for many Red Dog friends and family to watch the Red Dogs play in a game.

After the game, the family of Lloyd Mears presented a memorial Pride and Passion bursary and football as well as a MVP bursary and football to selected players from both teams. Austin Thompson and Jordan Lane were the respective Shock players chosen for the prestigious awards.
